The "My life is crazy busy" post

Almost a year has happened since my last honest-to-goodness post.
(No, the last one wasn't quite goodness. Thanks for asking.)

How does one sum up a year's worth of happenings? I certainly don't know how.
Let us begin trying, OK?
OK.

I am now 20 years old and a junior in college. I am still your typical college student; I only have a vague idea of what I want to do after graduation. But I am really excited about my vague ideas...

I am blessed with great family and friends, and I'm grateful for them.

I'm still living, going to school and working in my hometown, and, while I'm waiting for a chance to see more of the world, I'm trying to learn how to "bloom where I'm planted." Or, rather, I'm trying to thrive. That has been my latest prayer to God--that I not take anything for granted.

My life is crazy busy--even during the less-busy summer.
But I wouldn't have it any other way.
I'm just thankful.

Bringin' procrastination at its best!

Unintentionally, I have confirmed the annoying stereotype of a typical college student.

I am a procrastinator.

When I started this blog, I did vow to write often.

I suppose it wasn't wise to make that promise.
With my packed-out schedule this past semester, this blog took a backseat to everything else.
And my schedule was packed.
In addition to a full-time class schedule, I worked two jobs, became involved with extracurricular activities, and (miraculously) maintained a social life.

Whew!

My infrequent writing does not mean that I'm as flaky as the leaves I crunch underfoot in the fall.
I'm just a busy woman who is still learning to manage time. :)

There are always New Years' resolutions for this sort of thing, right?

Here we are.

People are always trying to get me to start a blog.

I say I like to write, and I often get asked if I have one.

When I say no, they ask me why not.

"Procrastination," I say.
"It's my weakness."

I suppose this post will be my starting point.

More writing! Less procrastinating!

Maybe.

Is there a 12-step program to keep writers with "creative" time management skills like mine writing?

Oh, only time will tell.

What joy should be filling your heart right now! You've just read my first blog. :)
